Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of PolySkill on the web, iOS and Android. By using PolySkill you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

Your account

You need to be at least 13 to use PolySkill, and if you are under 18 you need a parent or guardian’s permission. You sign in with Apple or Google. Keep that account secure, because you are responsible for what happens in PolySkill under it. An account is for one person.

What PolySkill is

PolySkill uses AI to build a course for you, teach it in short lessons, and answer your questions as a tutor. AI makes mistakes. Lessons and answers can be incomplete or wrong, so check anything important against a reliable source. PolySkill is for learning. It isn’t medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you give us: your topics, answers, documents, links and messages. You let us store and process it, and send it to our service providers, so we can run PolySkill for you. Only give us material you have the right to use. The courses we generate for you are yours to use for your own learning.

Fair use

Don’t use PolySkill to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or create harmful, hateful or sexual content involving minors. Don’t try to get around limits or plans, overload or probe our systems, scrape the service, or copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app.

Free and Pro

The free plan includes one course, the first unit of that course and 25 tutor questions. Pro unlocks every unit, more courses and a daily tutor allowance. To keep PolySkill available for everyone, Pro has fair-use limits: currently up to 25 new courses in any 30 days, and a daily cap on tutor messages.

Pro is a subscription, billed monthly, every 3 months, every 6 months or yearly. You see the price before you buy.

• In the iOS or Android app, you pay through your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before that period ends. Manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds follow Apple’s or Google’s policies.
• On the web, Polar sells the subscription as the merchant of record, and its terms apply to the payment. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Settings → Plan → Manage, and it stays active until the end of the period you paid for. For a refund, email us.

If we change a price, we’ll tell you before it applies, and it takes effect at your next renewal.

Changes and ending

We improve PolySkill all the time, so features can change or go away. You can stop at any time and delete your account in Settings. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription: cancel it with Apple, Google or on the web as described above. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Disclaimers

PolySkill is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don’t promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or right for your purpose.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or opportunities. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by agreement.

Apple and Google

If you got PolySkill from the App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. They have no obligation to maintain or support the app, and aren’t responsible for claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using PolySkill after that, you accept the new terms.
